We size engineered footings for the wind load a roofed structure catches during storm season, June through November, so the frame stays square as the ground shifts around it. Screens can close in the sides later if mosquitoes push you to it. Many of these structures pair with a custom patio beneath, so the floor drains as well as the roof sheds.

Orleans Parish requires permits for structures like these, and on older blocks in historic districts there can be an added approval step before anything goes up. We handle that paperwork routinely.
